The hardship of right now has a purpose. The hard thing you are walking through has a purpose too. God is using this season that I am in for something greater than what I can see in this moment. I keep asking for Him to change it but He’s using it to change me.

What the Enemy whispers to me and what others may say or think about me cannot become my inner script.

Galatians 6:2 “Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.”

Because of His great mercy we can always start fresh.

Let’s not let our physical appearance keep us from the main mission— knowing Christ and making Him known.

God is using parenthood to lovingly remind me that I can’t do it all. I can’t keep everything in tidy little boxes. In fact, on most days, the boxes are scattered all over the house and the yard and all of them are on fire.

And yet— the world keeps spinning.

Today I am starting the 30 day gentleness challenge: nothing but kind speech and calm tones for thirty days.

As believers, our primary authority on everything, including parenting, needs to be the word of God.

Marriage won’t always be fair. It won’t always be easy. But we die to ourselves to truly love others. By doing so we find life.
